When working with complex parts is nice to be able to export to MIDI directly and then utilize the plethora of midi editing tools at your disposal to clean up the triggers. If you want to capture the midi then you need to set up a MIDI loopback and record it. Other products simply let you click a button to export a midi track, but drum replacer directly outputs the midi to a synth that is currently in the project. I find that this workflow is somewhat cumbersome though.

It is also possible to output the triggers to midi so that you can utilize an external software instrument to produce the drum sounds. You can add and remove triggers manually. Cakewalk Application has stopped working.

I avoid looking so I don’t subconsciously try to smidge an overall rating ahead of another DAW. As of publishing this, I don’t even know what the final score is (that’s calculated client side). The DAW Chart is updated with Cakewalk as well.
